Finally (Part 2)

By Shane

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

After years of living, alone within’ myself It’s clear that behind me, there was something left As I look ahead I realise… My face is changing before my eyes As I look ahead I realise… After years of waiting, I haven’t found myself After years of trying, It’s someone else After all these years I cannot see, I cannot feel I realise that… After all these years I cannot see my face I realise that after all these years I’m dying in this place I realise, What is mine, The freedom I searched has left me blind Departed I’ve been for years, departed from my mind No, I’ve no will left… After all these years I’ve lost the best After all this, all these, reality becomes my fear No I’ve no will left, Only a hole, where my mind was kept Now I realise that after all these years My prayers have fallen on deaf ears Written March 1st, 2002 © on Mar 01 2002 02:48 AM PST   10 • 0
