Happy Birthday Mr. Potato Head

By Sharon

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

My dear friend you may be older But the years I’ve spent with you Will always bring a smile to my face Just like the one I  ‘stuck’ on you. These ears will hear the laughter Though you can’t hear it with me But somehow yours went missing Somewhere in the old pantry Your body may rot now and then If not changed out in time But I remember playing with you And so, I pen this rhyme Many hours of pleasure were had Making a new man out of you Each time I played with your sweet head You became someone brand new As you celebrate this fiftieth year Accept all accolades as said You are a man who daily changes Happy Birthday Mr. Potato Head Written February 6th, 2002 © on Feb 06 2002 02:30 PM PST   0 • 14
