I see the star that shines bright in the distance Makes me ponder about my own existence When did I get here? And when do I leave? Not that I’m complaining But the thoughts just come naturally Where do I belong? And how do I get there? It’s so confusing, it just isn’t fair A wave washes over me and I stop and think There must be a purpose, and my doubts begin to shrink To live on this earth as one of my own Is something far more grand, then I ever thought I could bestow Everyday brings new pleasures, some great and some small But finding true love is the best one of all Love is the grandest thing known to man And I thank god, for being loved like I am Though times may come when I feel down and blue I just say your name, and look up to you You shield me from danger, and lead me from harm With you in my life, I can never go wrong You are the star I see shining bright in the sky Reminding me to never give up, and stay strong with pride.
