Hidden Truth

By Silver Dragon with Onyx

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

So many masks to hide one soul So many emotions that lie Don't judge a book by its cover Don't judge a person by expressions Have you heard the song Reflection? "When will my reflection show... who I am inside?" I've taught my reflection so well That it hides the real me, From others and ME So many masks to hide one soul So many emotions that lie Don't judge a book by its cover Don't judge a person by expressions When will the masks be torn away? When will I be exposed? Raw personality and real emotion So many masks to hide one soul So many emotions that lie Don't judge a book by its cover Don't judge a person by expressions In the mirror I see a stranger A body with no truth Time will reveal what life does not know So many masks to hide one soul So many emotions that lie Don't judge a book by its cover Don't judge a person by expressions Written April 8th, 2002 © on Apr 08 2002 03:46 PM PST   18 • 0 • 13
