A Cry of Forgiveness for My Generation

By skiptaylor

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

One day your time will come Will you forgive my generation for the screw ups we've done? Will you accept your fate and stand up, be a leader? Can you change all the mistakes that we've commited? Will you be strong and courageous in the face of adversity? Can I have faith in you that you will take care of us? Will you lead my generation into a great new world? Will you please tear down the world that we live in now? Only to build it back up and make it yours This is your world now The new generation Please forgive me and my peers for the harm we've done My generation couldn't do it Even though our parents pleaded with us the same as I'm doing now I trust this new generation I trust you will conquer a new world and make up for the terrible things we've done This is an apology to you, the youth.
