Alone
I am treading water alone amidst an inner whirlpool that threatens to suck me down into it's drain.A puddle of sorrow with no more tomorrow's. Life seems so endlessI float wishing I were on the cloud of yesterdayI seem to sink into a puddle of sorrow Nothing I do has ever matteredvacuum my soulclean my heart outThine own inner whirlpool will not doIf I could just be released from the pains of todaymy trembling heart would growNever before have I felt so aloneThis is a poem I wrote for a challenge. The first three lines are the challenge and are written by Raggedyanne. The rest is my work. Written December 2nd, 2001 © on Dec 01 2001 04:50 PM PST, Kelli Miller 18 • 0 • 10
