Desperation

Desperation Crazy thoughts, desperate visions Right or wrong as they may be I can’t discern reasons of what my mind does see For it has gone through hell these many years Being told what and what not it can accomplish Now after much illness, the body has endured. A parting of marriage of many years No tears are shed, but the awakening dread Knowing life has dealt a near fatal blow Why, oh why, is my life filled with sadness The dreams of younger years still lie as hopes Dreams unfulfilled, never to be held in the light of day Deep depression, no pill can take the truth away, But this man shall endure and make his hopes come true He will make happiness out of gloom The sun shall shine again through the dark loneliness Despair will never show its head again Never again will the thoughts come to end it all For he has found a new life with someone who cares Now the pain of desperation  won’t come around again For she has shown her true love A love so pure and unfettered His path in life lies before him All the goals he has hidden before shall be realized An angel has come to earth and made him whole again.This is about me!... would welcome critique and comments, please Written August 23rd, 2001 © on Aug 23 2001 03:09 AM PST   0 • 8 • 10
