The Thinking Time

The Thinking Time Instead of falling into sleep, I think about the world. I think of things unknown to me. I think of things I cannot answer. I think of whether this is this, or that is that. I think of my life, I think of me, so young in the world. I think of my family, my friends. I think of this world’s horrors, I think of its greatness. I think of how it doesn’t revolve around me, I revolve around it. I think of my home, its coziness. I think of my bed, its warmth. I think of sleep, so peaceful and deep. I think… I think… I dream. I dream a wonderful dream. I dream a dream of happiness. I dream a dream of life. I dream a dream of wonder. I dream a dream of flight. I dream… I dream… I wake. The day has begun. Now, I must wait for that wonderful time of night; The Thinking Time of night. Written December 7th, 2001 © on Dec 07 2001 09:20 AM PST   18 • 0 • 10
