The Night
By SRanfield
In the somber silence I write, For your voice to keep me company. In the cold still of the night I am, Longing for your love to give me warmth. In the darkness, I lay weary, Tired, waiting for your touch. In the stars I see light, That shines a love that comes from you. I feel the wind's breath on my neck, Reminding me of the current lonliness I feel. I see your eyes in the stars, I lay mesmerized by it all. The tranquility of the night captures silence, Like you have captured my heart. I see your spirit in the moon, The essence of it is calming. The wind breathes faster, Sending chills down into my soul. My heart is yearning, My soul is weeping, For the mistake I have committed, Yet the night, fogrives me.
