A Tale of a love lost, but Found
By stoggie
Still, from the frost running the course of my back, I’m so glad to say I’ve made it through yet another soulless winter day. The glass trees remind me of the beauty that left me some time ago, Yet I cannot seem to care about anyone else’s words. Sitting alone, but I can find comfort in the memory you’ve left me with. I can breathe the air that’s whispering your name, your words… Reminds me why I make the effort to get through each day. We’ve found something dead to make good Forget the mistakes we’ve made I cannot help but love you. No more thoughts of wonder mounted in the back of my mind, If only we could reach total peace to end the mishaps of time. But even now I can feel the warmth of a smile upon my face, To know you’re not as distant as I once believed. I now strive to feel your hands intertwining with mine, Your deep eyes trap me with barbed wire. Where I recall the times of feeling so very alive, And where I recall times of wishing to die. Please give me your hand, Tell me my time has been well spent. Sorrow changing, But for how long? Paranoid of the care you offer… Either way... I’m just so happy you’ve arrived. So… Lie down, rest… Lie down, love. I’ll be with you always… Written April 6th, 2002 © on Apr 06 2002 03:03 PM PST 18 • 0 • 8
