The Lady
By StrmDncr
Midnight in the garden of earthly delight She dances through the tall cool grass Chestnut hair shimmering in moonlight Is she fae or a wee bonny lass A melody drifts by on the evening breeze As she moves through the misty glen You watch as she steps with gentle ease Dancing round, again and again Suddenly she is there before you But all is not what it seems Though she smiles, her eyes sparkle brightly Her tears trickle down in streams No one knows for whom the lady weeps Nor why she dances all alone But each night she is there among the trees Dancing for a love unknown Written January 30th, 2002 © on Nov 24 2002 03:47 PM PST, Pat Williams 0 • 1
