By sweetbrother2

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

She complains it's a lovely Saturday yet she's trapped behind this glowing screen; she wants F R E E D O M she thinks i wish i could be a bird soaring over rooftops, majestic sequoias skyscrapers jagged mountains She would not be a common household sparrow, graceless city pigeon, or screaming seagull feasting on worms, raw fish, or breadcrumbs She wants to be a bird that eats lollipops carefree & joyful like a laughing child Written April 13th, 2002 © on Apr 13 2002 01:20 PM PST   10 • 0
