Don't cry in my ear

Don’t scream in my ear, Like I don’t already know your pain I have screams of my own – muffled and unheard But you want to cry on my shoulder And let me spit word. My baby daddy in jail The man knew he was wrong But right how he singing the jail bird song. She don’t know he there, So what am I suppose to do. I been raising her alone but that is another problem to. Let me scream to you about bills My loans, my jobless self. I can’t be educated full- time And buy damn milk. I can’t get welfare ‘cuz I am not even going that route I guess there are things Momma got to do without. Let me scream in your ear About females hating on me. They walk by and look in my face and won’t even speak. Females I don’t know and some of them I do And because I don’t act like them I just do what I have to do. Females who don’t have a man but always hating on me. My man may not look good to you but don’t worry he’s with me Females who always hating, At an all girl school Don’t you know I’ll hurt your feelings? And still act like I’m cool. I don’t have to kiss your ass I am here to make the grades And as far as I am concerned ya’ll females can stay detained. Don’t scream in my ear, cause I don’t want to hear it As long as I got problems I am not trying to feel it. Let me scream to you about my baby She know her ABC’s and all I am proud of her She knows it And that is reason to scream at ya’ll Let me tell you ‘bout my man He dark, tall and fine He loves me from the depth of his soul And makes up my other half of mine. Let me tell you ‘bout my girls They are faithful and they are few I can count on them not matter what it is That we have to do. We are ready for whatever Always got each others back And it is not to many girls on this campus I think I could deal with like that. Now that is something to scream about!
