The Dog
By Tc
The Dog The dog laid quietly by the tree, For a bone from you or me. He doesn’t care where it comes from you see, he has no real loyalty. Any stranger can feed him and he’ll sniff and lick their feet. If you let him off his leash, he will surely run the street. He marks his territory by pissin on it, So he wont forget where he’s been or who with. His nose is always cold and he doesn’t do as told. You can say stay but surely he’ll run away. When he grows tired of the street he’s roamed, With his head tucked between his tail, he’ll find his way home. Don’t bother putting him back on his chain because he’ll bark and growl, Til Once again his freedom he’s gained. It’s funny, I’d say even ironic that the characteristics of dog & man Are one in the same, there just called by a different name.Sorry fella's, this one is for all the women who have had their hearts broken or who have ever referred to their significant other at some point and time as a dog.
