Greccanpoo (Pt 1)
By Tegs
Many-a many-a year ago, in a land not so far away lived a young lass called Greccanpoo Who liked to have things her own way. While the other young lasses were washing the dishes and trying to polish the floors young Greccanpoo was swimming in rivers and hunting things far out-of-doors. Her father would say "What a poor man am I, to be stuck with a daughter like you." Her mother would cry, and say as she sighed, "No husband for my poor Greccanpoo." But Greccanpoo cared not for fancys and flairs, did not scream when she did see a mouse. She was strong-willed and brave from the day she was born, and did would not stay home and keep up the house. So one day she thought, "I might go for a stroll, and see what the world is up to." So she left her poor mum, and set off to the woods What a strange thing for a yound lass to do. The woods were deep, and went on forever but scared not was our dear Greccanpoo. She just kept on walking and humming a tune that got stuck in her head as they do. Before too long, she stumbled apon a fierce dragon, who'd caught in a cage a fluro blue cat, it seemed dinner for that terrible dragon so caught in a rage. Other maids may have screamed and cried And tried to run far away But other maids would not have been on that walk And brave, dear Greccanpoo stayed. She grabbed the dragon by the foot, And it turned and growled in her face, The dragon blew smoke rings right around Greccanpoo And swung his tail down like a mace. But Greccanpoo had been waiting for this, And while destracted the dragon was now, She grabbed, a big fat pointy stick And jammed it right up it’s nose! Ow! The big scary dragon, so unacustomed To being hurt back for a change Turned tail and ran, away from the girl And the cat who looked quite so strange.
