My Oasis in the Wasteland

By Tegs

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

There's was nothing ahead, but even less where I came from.I used to view the world, with so much hope and wonder. But now, I have taken away my rose coloured  glasses, and see it for what it truely is.Emotions as bare as the desert at night,no compassion, no love, just fear. But I have found my oasis now, among all the hatred and petty fighting. My Oasis is you, your caring hand, your friendly ear and gentle voice. You see the world and yet still have hope. You are my guiding hand, a voice of reason,a spark of hope to keep me warm, and to prove that there are still flowers, out there in this desert.
