Secret World

By Tegs

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

A secret world, beyond our grasplies just beneath the mottled canopyof stars and flowers draped over our eyes.Twinkling lights, bewitching fantasiesfuel for the veil, smothering our minds.Power over all, the sixth sense of what.Second sight and freedom of mind,to wander the star-paths, drink from our thoughtsand feed from the blindness we find so agrivating.Cut away from this flat world, falling over the horizon into things we can't see.Splashing us with glittering mystery, taunting our dreams, and teasing our souls.Eyes masked, like trying to stare through a mist, stinging us, tantalising us, drawing us nearer. And then slapping us away, or burning us in a fire of ignorence.
