Two Rainbows
By tgb
I smile when I see a rainbow, I saw two yesterday. Two beautiful arcs. And I wonder, What right have I to feel, Despondent, When I see, Two perfect rainbows. I sing when I hear song, Tap my foot, dance. Sing to the silence. And I wonder, What right have I to feel, Alone, When I have, So many friends in song. I warm when I see love, A couple holding hands, Twice the age of me. And I wonder, What right have I to feel, Cynical, When I sense, In the hearts of man, love. I laugh when I see children, Kicking a ball, playing in snow. Full of imagined possibility, And I wonder, What right have I to feel, Doubt, When all around, I am embraced by hope. I believe when I see you, I remember, love, obsession, Devotion, eternity made real. And I wonder, What right have I to feel, Lost Cause fuck it, the world is waiting, and i don't care, if it's with or without, you.this sounds bitter in the end. it is a bit i suppose, but i'm not a saint! :-) Written February 2nd, 2002 © on Feb 02 2002 08:40 AM PST 18 • 0 • 12
