Halloween
When the cool, crisp air of October Tosses the harlequin leaves around... When there is a certain eerie chill in the atmosphere.. You can be certain..Halloween is near! The skeletons rattle their dried-up bones In a ghostly, macabre dance In the graveyard you won't stand a ghostly chance For the ghouls and imps and all the Devil's cohort Party till the break of dawn, Gorging on all sorts of gory treats! The moon casts an eerie fluorescent glow Against the velvet black of night And from above you can listen To the cackle of a hundred witches on their Samhain Flight! When you are greeted by the florescent grin Of a creepy Jack-O-lantern, And as you trample through the night Your mind plays evil tricks on you! Every tree is a phantom Trying to capture you, And the wind becomes a sinister spook's howl! Your heart races upon the hooting of the Great Horned owl! On this scary, scary night in deep October... Best be on your guard tonight... Against all unsightly sounds and sights you may encounter... It's best to not be seen... Beware! Beware! Beware of this horrible night They call Halloween!Written October 21st, 2001 © on Oct 21 2001 12:46 AM PST, Mary Aris other
