A father's Rage
By thewritegurl
Here we go again Another hole in the wall Another sleepless night I don't want to take this fall Daddy why do you get so angry? Why are you never satisfied? I try my best to serve you But when you get home I hide Though you have never touched me With your hands your feet your knees Your words still penetrate me And leave me begging please I want it to all be over All the screaming and the pain Don't tell Mommy it's her fault When it's you that made the stain I know I should be careful Because Mommy reads this very page But I can't love you like Mommy When you're filled with so much rage Please don't fight around us Little brother gets confused And we cry for you together Because your words they cause abuseMom, if you read this, remember it's just a poem.
