Homework in the Eyes of a Student
By Tigbaby
As you walk down the isle, a teacher in disguise, I look in your hand and notice a paper. I begin to think pop quiz? Study Guide? But then the most frightening word came out of your mouth, HOMEWORK. What is this thing called homework I begin to think. Is it a assignment in class? Is it a note to my mom for her to do? But then I relize, Oh yeah I have done this before. Homework...the word is so familiar. I go home to find a phone call waiting and begin to talk hours and hours until I am too tired to go on and go to sleep. Dream....Dream....Dream....and I come out of my sleep that more felt like a coma. I show up at school with my backpack and books in hand and walk down the isle to my seat in your class. I sit waiting for my fellow classmates to talk about their nights until you walk in head held high and speak in a voice scary as if trying to make us intimidated, Homework please.... The word I dreaded. I pull out my blank paper and summit my invisible work as if I had done it and I see a face of discust. You turn and ask me for the definition of homework. I look up smile and say, Huh? Written February 20th, 2002 © on Feb 20 2002 12:44 PM PST 10 • 0
