A Cry For Freedom
By TinasHeart
A Cry For Freedom Many times when sleep claims my weary body, I drift into a world of wondrous dreams. Foes and loved ones may try to inflict pain, yet I lift my arms and float above where nothing can touch me. I feel my spirit rise within me. Freedom and peace flow through me. I hear a voice from within, saying, "nothing can harm you, my child". Visions, peaceful and serene through the day, of the mighty eagle resting upon a mountain top. Victory has soared through his great wings. He's free anytime to take flight, yet chooses to remain in close fellowship with the Creator of Heaven and earth, high above all earthly struggles. Lord, grant me wings that I may fly. When pressures weigh heavy on my heart, lift my spirit up high, taking me peacefully into Your presence, where nothing can cripple me. Let Your being rise through me, leaving behind all doubts and fears. There I shall wait to hear Your Spirit, gentle as the whispering winds sweetly sweeping through my quills. I will not succomb to be weak, Strength, I've only imagined shall be mine. Lord, it's Your power I will seek, As I anticipate deliverance from you, freedom shall ever be my cry. ©TinasHeart 10/14/01 Written October 13th, 2001 © on Oct 14 2001 03:59 PM PST 18 • 0 • 12
