Is Anyone Ever Happy?
By TinasHeart
I get chewed out when there's no food in the house, then I get griped out for spending too much money. 'Oh Mom, today I just have to wear my new blouse.' 'I'm tired of seeing the mounds of dirty clothes.' 'Honey, why was the water bill so high this month?' Because I had to wash your grimy shirts, I suppose. I just want to know, is anyone here ever happy? 'Sweetheart, why is the house so dark and dimly lit?' 'Turn that light off! Didn't you see the electric bill?' It is enough to make me want to throw a raging fit. 'You need to take the kids and pick them up from school, oh, and don't forget one has to be at work at 4:00.' 'Dear, don't you think you're spending too much on fuel?' Tell me, I just want to know, is anyone ever happy? 'Mom, I am starving half to death. What is there to eat?' Theres eggs, toast, lunch meat, cereal, the list goes on. 'I don't like those things, Mom. I want a special treat.' Well, I guess they weren't really starving after all then. 'How was your day today Honey? Why isn't the house clean?' Seems he did not notice the things I did today, yet again. Please tell me, I just have to know, is anyone ever happy? ©TinasHeart 11/26/01 Written November 22nd, 2001 © on Nov 26 2001 06:13 AM PST 18 • 0 • 14
