Reaching Out To You When loneliness overtakes me, crushing me beneath my pain, embrace me ever so tenderly Surround me in Your love again. When dreams have all gone amiss, it seems I haven't got a prayer, remind me of Your great promise. You are my delight, I know You care. At times I wonder who are my real friends, looking around, one way and then another, You promise to be to me until the end, a friend that sticks closer than a brother. Comfort me with Your healing balm, shower me with love like no one else, keeping me contented, cool, and calm, through this drought of hopelessness. Lord, You are my strength when I am weak, my consolidation whenever I am depressed. When I need assurance, be the One I seek, Come and rescue me now, this is my request. Take me to our secret meeting place, find me there abiding in Your shadow, where I will freely receive Your grace.
