The Face Of An Angel
By TinasHeart
The Face Of An Angel I watched her sitting in the yard, Her face sweetly lit up with delight, holding the new bunny she had found. My eyes beheld such a beautiful sight. At that moment she looked like an angel, with the glow that surrounded her face, it tugged on my heart to see her there, with the creature in her warm embrace. She wanted to make that bunny her pet, for that is the way of angels, you see, compassion for all of God's creatures. She had to know, this one was born to be free. How could I tell her what she needed to hear? I knew it would break my angel's heart. Ever so gently, I took her into my arms, explaining the bunny would have to part. Tears ran down her cheeks, tearing me apart. With a brave soul, she set her captive free, I knew it had to be so hard for her to do. Again I was amazed at such an act of bravery. Now, what could I do to see her smile again? Well, I did what any good parent would do. We marched our brave angel to the pet shop. She came home with a new pet, her face glowing anew. ©TinasHeart 04/08/02 Written April 9th, 2002 © on Apr 08 2002 05:05 PM PST 18 • 0 • 10
