Humanity

By turquin

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Humanity, living, breathing, pulsing; of warm earth-hewn clay; eternity enclosed within tender, silken skin! Creature of questing, of passion, undulating, seething, teeming, tenderly touching; a multiple flame of sex and jealousy, ignited and of Heaven, inspired. Enabled for destiny that's timeless and noble. So why loll in the depths and dregs of despair, O crown of creation - Why trade soul for cankered trinkets O fellow heirs o' the cosmos?
