Thank You

Why am I so deserving of your presence? Now I know that God truly does exist. He blessed me with you, My precious child... My first born. Thank you God. Despite my wishing and praying, I never knew He'd grant me more than a daughter. He's given me a friend, A confidant, A reason to smile. Thank you God. As I see you progress in life, My words of wisdom no longer have to be told. I just stand and watch in awe as you go through life's battles and glories. Your own intuition has led you through. Thank you God. I know you've hurt, Cried, Lost, And sunken. Understand that the pain that has pierced you, has scarred and broken me... But we refuse to fall. Thank you God. Now He's chosen you to follow in my footsteps. You've made a lasting union with a loving man. You've birthed beautiful angels. At last, you see through my eyes. Thank you God. I shall never forget the happiness you've brought me, Both present and past. My precious jewel, I don't know where I'd be without you. Thank you.I wrote this for my sister on behalf of my mom. It was for Mother's Day. I had to alter it a bit because I wanted to share it will all and I wouldn't have been able to do that if I would have keep it as the original stated. Like the second to last line originally read, "Ruby, my precious jewel, I don't know where I'd be without you." Ruby's my sisters name. Anyways....I hope you all enjoy.
