Eclipse over Florida I watched the moon bleed. Slowly - a single blood-shot eye A one-eyed dead-stare into the cold darkness, save for the helpless stares of stars. Like children dumbstruck as their mother cries before them. Shocked silence of the night - no momentary mutterings of rattling winter leaves. No commentary given in cricket chirps.
