A smile ...because it was wonderful ~ and tears ...because it's only a memory. There is a void in my life now. It's the empty spaces left by the absence of your hugs, your encouragement, and your presence. I'm saddened at their loss, but at the same time, I'm reassured of their existence. Before meeting you, my experience with these and many other feelings was only within the words on a page coupled with the cynical conclusion that, "Real life's not that way!" I know now, that real life CAN be that way. One thing I'll not allow myself to doubt... regardless of how brief, it was REAL!
