An Ancient Oracle...The Runes
By WaryDreamer
I felt a compulsion to seek an Oracle. I spread out my Runes so I could gather wisdom from the Ages. Seeking my fortune? Hardly! The Runes offer guidance and give direction for addressing my current dilemma. Some may scoff at primitive ways filtering amidst today's technology, but Knowledge is Knowledge. If we could send our current capability backward or forward in time, would it not STILL be Knowledge? Does that same principle not also apply to the stones which tell us ancient stories, and direct reflection on our inner thoughts of today? Some may condemn my practice of reaching into the past for guidance and perceive it as evil. If this is God's world, and He's in charge, then, does He not direct the Runes I draw? Does that guidance become any less valid because the wisdom is drawn from stones rather than pages from a book? I believe not. I followed my compulsion, cleared my mind, defined my issue, and then I drew my spread. I've considered the advice, reflected upon its counsel, and weighed my options. Now, I know what I'm going to do. mThe Runes carry wisdom, guiding my life in the present. Mostly, it's a journey inward as I attempt to know myself within. /graphic from Magickalmoon/ Written January 12th, 2002 © on Jan 12 2002 05:46 AM PST 18 • 12 • 4
