Another thought.....& You did go away

ANOTHER THOUGHT FOR CONSIDERATION... There's an old illustration   that if someone feels as though he is indispensable,       he should stick his finger into a glass of water         and look at the hole it leaves whenever he takes it out. Continuing that thought,   I was a very frozen person when you met me,       but you managed to chip a solid block of frozen water         into tiny pieces like the ice in a coke from the drive-in.   It happens, that if I drink all the coke,       and throw away the straw,         sometimes, there IS a hole left.   You did leave a space in my life when you withdrew from it,       but ice melts, and it will eventually go away. Don't be too annoyed if I'm still aware of the emptiness ~   It will go away too.                           m                           Dec 18, 87 YOU DID GO AWAY I had thought so for a long time,   but today, I know it for certain. I stopped at your old apartment.   It's an office now. I thought of you as I parked in front   and wondered where you are and what you are doing. But as I walked inside,   you never crossed my mind. It wasn't until I'd left   that it occurred to me       I'd been in the same room         where we'd shared so much and loved so deeply.
