Faults
By WaryDreamer
Sometimes we are blind to our own faults and we are unable to see something that is so obviously apparent to everyone else. But just as often, the reverse is true and our own faults loom enormously out in front of us because we know what they are to their fullest extent. Other people are more tolerant of these faults and don't judge us as harshly because they see only a result of a fault that we ourselves view as a weakness within us. Somehow, it's the WEAKNESS more so than the fault that we have difficulty forgiving. ~~~~~~~ I don't think others are oblivious to our shortcomings. In fact, I think they choose to see or ignore certain ones. The golden truth is, we don't have to live up to their expectations, but rather to set our own goals with standards we won't regret. mNovember 1986 Written October 23rd, 2001 © on Oct 23 2001 10:59 AM PST 18 • 0 • 10
