Fortress Of The Heart (#2in contest)
She traces her sighs Upon the wind. They echoed where stillness lays. Nothing lives there anymore. As if snow shutted by winter, In valleys deep. A mournful cry. Heard by none. Tears on cheeks, Frozen there, By winters sudden bloom. Of heart grown still. She rebuilds, Her fortress strong, Neither ice or winter snow, Shall invade. Then neither will trust, Gain a foot hold, Love will never enter. Inside the fortess of ice. Written December 6th, 2001 © on Dec 06 2001 01:07 PM PST, Phyllis Thompson 0 • 1
