I Want to Ride The Wind
She awoken to a world of white, Just for a moment, She felt lost, Feeling her stomach, Knowing life nolonger, Was to be found there, Tears warm on her cheek, "Why!" Screaming in her head. She lay wishing, To sink into nothing, She remenbered the anger, The taste of blood, The pain as she hit the floor, Crying out in fear, Of the man she loved, The one she though, Walked on water, As he turned his back, Leaving her there, In blood. Vision distracted, By hidden pain. She clawed flesh, Pulling out the IV. Throwing open the window, Laughing at the stars, Shouting, "Look at me Daddy." "I want to ride the wind." Yet somewhere in the dark, A little girl cries, "Daddy don't you love me anymore?" Written December 17th, 2001 © on Dec 17 2001 11:35 AM PST, Phyllis Thompson 0 • 1
