My Stand

By Whisper Mckee

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

The world's hidden in darkness. Souls trapped outside the door. A land scared and blood drenched, By the ravage of war. We have given up, Without even a fight. Forgetting his grace, And his saving light. Simply shrugging our shoulders. We say it's all meant to be. But that's when I take my battle, Down on my knees. I know the greatest change, Cannot be brought about by man. So I fall to my knees, And it's there I take my stand.
