She Waits
Alone in shadow, She waits for him, Moonlight dusting, On her skin. Long white gown, Soft raven hair, Long and flowing, Shoulders left bare. Caught up in the magic, Of the night, She wants everything, To be just right. She hears him, As he moves through the trees, Part of her wants to rush forward, Yet, a part of her wants to flee. Then she is safe in his arms, Laughing at her fear, She has no doubt what she wants, As he holds her near. Written December 17th, 2001 © on Dec 17 2001 11:13 AM PST, Phyllis Thompson 18 • 0 • 8
