Sure Sounded Like Good-bye To Me

By Whisper Mckee

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

A dream is great once you find it. All magic, that makes the heart soar. Then like clouds, it drifts away, As time passes, until it's not there anymore. I know you never meant it to happen. I realize you never meant it to be. But the last time we talked together. Sure Sounded like good-bye to me. I hope you are really happy. I still hope everything is just fine. I hope you'll smile a litte, If I should ever cross your mind. The magic I will always remeber. How you brought such passion to my heart. Sometimes no matter how hard we hold on. We find we are drifting apart. I know you never meant it to happen. I realize you never meant it to be. But the last time we talked together. Sure Sounded like good-bye to me. If time and things were different. And love was enought to hold. Our love would be the forever kind. That never lets the heart grow cold. The magic I will always remeber. How you brought such passion to my heart. Sometimes no matter how hard we hold on. We find we are drifting apart. I know you never meant it to happen. I realize you never meant it to be. But the last time we talked together. Sure Sounded like good-bye to me. Written January 22nd, 2002 © on Jan 22 2002 01:59 PM PST, Phyllis Thompson   20 • 0 • 1
