The Big Scary City
By whitedove55
Of to the big city tomorrow Oh what a scary thought Nerves are all a jangle For in the rat race I'll be cought. With lots and lots of people All of them in a rush I have this awful feeling I'll be lost forever in the crush. What really worries me Silly you may think Are the traffic light in the city As they change colour and blink. For in our tiny village The same goes for our town No matter how hard you look Not a traffic light to be found. Three days in the city How will I survive I pray someone will take pity And offer for me to drive. If I could take a plane I would But we just don't have them here So it has to be by road The nerves are getting worse I fear Please think of me tomorrow As this journey begins That I'll survive this city experience And soon be back home again Written March 23rd, 2002 © on Mar 22 2002 09:02 PM PST 0 • 14
