Monkey Freak

My daughter has a sweet fixation not strange,for a teen,you say? it started slowly,two years ago and keeps growing to this day Her online nickname is Monkey Freak so believe me when I say she just goes gaga and loses it when she sees something "MONKEY" Her collection starts with furry pals they soon will fill up her wall they are small and big and tall and short and she's named them one and all A second part of this sweet madness is seen in the clothes she wears it may be sockies or a t-shirt monkeys seen in ones or pairs The last part of this funny hang up are the cute pictures she gets of babies,mommies and apes galore as cartoons or as real pets It isn't just a flight of fancy there is a reason for it I asked her once about her primates and her answer was "Please sit" "Please mom don't think of me as silly my reason is a good one it has to do with thoughts of Grandma especially since she's gone You know, she had a pet name for me and if you remember well she used to call me her little chimp" I could just feel my heart swell So now you see why I endorse her in her monkey search so pure it stunts the pain felt by Grandma's loss a fun and innocent cure.
