To My Friend

This goes out to a friend of mine Whose life is not going very fine. Disillusionment has struck her very early, And it's dealt her a mighty blow. Will she make it through this time, I just don't know. So through this I beseech her And hope it gets through before another tragedy can teach her. Here's hoping it will reach her, and giver her hope. So here it goes: I know this life has its share of troubles, And the pain it can cause often doubles. But don't give up if life knocks you down, Get right back up. I compare you to a rose You both have beauty, and it shows. But you both also have thorns Your violent fighting spirit are yours.
