Beach Bum
By 1stpoet
Beach Bum She lay on the beach, not near me Trying to get a dark tan I saw her string bikini And started devising my plan Somehow she must notice me As to not catch her completely off guard Do I approach by sand or sea? The decision is really quite hard If I swim through breaking waves With one hand I'd be holding my nose And to walk across invisible flames I could burn off a few of my toes I guess I'll just sit here in my chair And figure out something to do Maybe she will just notice my stare And all of these dreams can come true Her walking up here with legs so brown Oblivious to heat of the sand I picture her in white wedding gown Life on this beach is so grand My visions of delusion are gentle Over thoughts long I never do toil I easily can become mental Seeing women covered in oil William Dawes © Copyright 2001 1st Poet Inc.
