Being
By 1stpoet
Being If you only had eyes you could see the world as I have seen it the darkness of night within a mind of a person trapped in fear a fear of living not that death would be welcome, or a release but the fear that in living one may taste life the bitter realities that pain and hurt loom around the corner, even though the moment holds pleasure If you only had a mind could you understand my thoughts Why I ask questions to simple realities think of ways of hiding my feelings towards others because they too, may not understand what fragments of shrapnel wicked words have been would your feet fit the shoes that I have walked in for forty years Callused and cold at times, stuck firm in a dreamscape for my feet have not touched earth for many days I long to live in this place I go with wings there is no more pain there is no more love there is nothing, only me in death death, you do not see you do not feel nor walk or think yet you are more kind than those living © Copyright 2002 1st Poet Inc.
