Bio-Logical (a birthday Poem)
By 1stpoet
Bio-Logical Today I am thinking of aging, and roots those turning gray and those of family Mama, wherever you are I know you think of me on this day the day I was born, and taken from your womb and your arms before you gave me a name padded walls held you therefore you could not hold me in your life, for the State made me one of theirs I ponder now what ties we would have had and of the sisters who too think of a brother they never knew The eldest I am of all your nestlings all removed In your mind you chase us, and play yet remain locked in solitary daily work release gave your seeds fertilization and like dandelion whisps on wind we were blown in directions distant I do not suffer I do not miss what I never had my family that raised me is all I have known what may have been Bio was not logical today, 41 I turn and think one more time of who I am and reflect on what I never was William S. Dawes April 18, 2002 (born April 18, 1961) 1stPoet copyright.I found my biological mother, and 3 sisters who were born later after her release from a mental institution. The sisters were all sexually and physically abused by my birth mother (and the birth father is whom she married and raised these kids with....and he abused them also.) I do not miss what could have been, but cry knowing what happened to them, and could have to me) WSD Written April 18th, 2002 © on Apr 18 2002 01:36 AM PST 18 • 0 • 10
