Black Angel
By 1stpoet
Black Angel With wings white, the Black Angel (his color of garment) soared the heavens touching earth with wind from wings he dusted sand from a desert princess She had been in an ocean of darkness among the dunes she fled, to the light of night Where dreams were made to chance and hearts were cold. She was different there, and knew it a soft heart remained within walls built also within mind The angel knew her feelings, and cried tears to a page He sensed the love that longed to be awakened The Nirvana she knew existed was on distant shore that only he could show her a glimpse of So he took her there in his flight She rode in pale moonlight upon his back strength she needed to rise above and see that below was not a barren desert, but an Oasis existed within reach Now awakened by the angel’s soft touch she longs for flight of her own His wings no longer needed…He gives them freely So she too, can soar the heavens within her mind Her sleeping heart belongs to a fine prince who has awakened her with a soft kiss The Black Angel smiles from the night sky knowing she is safe again. William Dawes copyright 2001 1st poet Inc.This was written for a friend who lived in Las Vegas, Nevada; USA. She was not able to even think of love, let alone experience it. Through words that I penned and sent her, she grew to see that love could once again exist in her life. And she found the love she needed.
