Black Widow
By 1stpoet
Black Widow I was languid for love had left me wounded You were an arachnid waiting for a feast You watched me with what seemed like Eight eyes, for you missed not one step As the web woven by music caught me I danced upon wings towards you The dim lit bar, and alcohol had me buzzing frantically and as I approached to ask you to dance I could not see the tattoo on your back A red hour glass my demise, for time would soon run out and I would never have this life again Your kiss as we embraced was like venom. I lost all strength, and the will to run vanished As your arms spun me I could feel the breath within leaving trance-like I became entombed When the music stopped I found myself lifeless motionless sucked dry.
