Burn Victim ( a love poem)
By 1stpoet
Burn Victim With a twinkle from your eye A spark was cast To my heart, like tinder, dry Small amounts of smoke rose so slow As your breath on my cheek Gave breeze to the glow I began to feel the heat from the kindling Emotions stacked neatly Ready for burning I became engulfed in the consuming blaze My body an inferno Eyes showing a smoky haze Do not call rescue The structure can not be saved From a holocaust such as you For I am to become ashes, in your hands Placed in an urn To be poured out at your command William Dawes July 3, 2000 Copyright.
