Can I?
By 1stpoet
Can I? In singleness I found you sitting, listening to the music watching couples dancing, smiling dreaming yourself on tripping the light fantastic with a man to match your moves and I asked Can I? The night passed by quickly we shared conversation and smiles I wanted to see you again, to hear your voice I presented the question again Can I? as we spent time together learning of each other our dreams and fears laughter and tears that were parts of us I knew I wanted to know everything about you Can I? you too have been hurt and trust has been broken we look for the utopia of a relationship that feels good, natural and share in life and living Can I? as time passes and we grow older daylight sharing walks and talks and keeping you warm in the cold of the night being there with you I ask Can I? © Copyright 2002 1st Poet Inc.
