Catching Fireflies in Your Eyes

Catching Fireflies in Your Eyes At the lake after sunset the fire crackles in the still air embers float aloft as I look at your sweet face And I am catching fireflies in your eyes dancing to the clouds on your soft sighs this moment catches me by surprise Drinking champagne at home by candlelight the bubbles rising in the glass we toast to the love we are sharing and by vision, the optical effervescence floors me And I am catching fireflies as the sparkles reach your eyes getting drunk on the sound of your soft sighs and passions start to rise Making love in the backyard as meteors race in the blackness above I look softly into your eyes dear and see the comets in your mind I again am catching fireflies in your eyes your moans are like sweet lullabies together we take wings to the skies catching fireflies in eachother’s eyes William S.
