Changes

Changes Those words that were written the me of long ago, penned to the white parchment the black blood of emotions spilled filled verses now lost and gone, drifted off into boxes or buildings left deserted like the memories of those days sometimes resurrected I wished those corpses would sleep rot away, bitter tasting were the thoughts that haunted me childhood, my youth tainted tore holes through innocent desire I know now that I am more than those words ever would have been that I survived and grew, (maybe not stronger) wiser just the same I am no longer living the death that trapped me, the sting of fear now gone it is not time that heals wounds but more so the release of the worms that filled the brain and ate away at dreams that longed to live dreams must be kept growing like fragrant flowers weeds that choke sanity must be pulled and the water of tears must be cried upon seeds dried bringing life again changes blossom © Copyright 2001 1st Poet Inc.
