Crime of Passion

Crime of Passion I stand before you guilty Of the crime I do admit I will endure whatever punishment I am judged, do not acquit If my charge is that I love you I shall endure the chair For no man made device Of you does it compare To go by electrocution, I would surely burn For within my mind you charge me And I give my energy in return Lethal Injection does not phase me For you run deeply within my veins No torture on this earth exists To make me drop the reigns In a chamber now I sit Waiting for gaseous toxins And all I can think of Is your fragrance in the mist If by rope I must swing As the tightness grips round my neck My senses will feel your soft kisses And the angelic songs you sing I have become lost in you already So the guillotine does not sharply cut The way a word on my ears Causes me to become heady I know that living for you Is dying within myself Only to be re-incarnated In your arms William Dawes June 18, 2000 Written June 18th, 2000 © on Dec 16 2001 06:27 AM PST   0 • 8
